Translational Pediatrics

The Pediatric Translational Research project aims to use laboratory findings to develop therapeutic drugs and diagnostics for children and adolescents. These conditions include asthma, severe asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, opioid-induced respiratory depression, primary ciliary dyskinesia, cystic fibrosis, and aerodigestive disorders.

Members of this group and their colleagues have discovered interesting new paths that will lead to the development of many medicines and diagnostic tools for use in each of these fields. A number of these medicines and techniques have advanced to the point of clinical study, which includes adults.
